The languages spoken in Hong Kong are Chinese and Cantonese, but as is English
is widely spoken, it will allow you to take in the Local Culture.
Hong Kong is famous not only for it's Skyline, but also for it's food and
luxury shopping. Hong kong can rival the Great Cities of London, Paris and
Shanghai. The street markets have a charm that are desinctly unique to Hong Kong.
Make sure to compare prices before actually buying anything. If you search you
can find great deals. The other good news is that you will not have to pay
sales tax, which will heighten your desire to find some of those bargains.
Hong Kong Attractions
Hong Kong Island (population 3000) This urbanised area is the most exciting
part
of Hong Kong and should not missed. It is often referred to as the " Heart and
Soul"of Hong Kong and it certainly is the the most exciting part of the City.
You can take an organised tour of Hong Kong Island. The central area of the island is the historical
and economic centre of Hong Kong.
Disneyland Hong Kong
Disneyland Hong Kong is located on Lantau Island. There are only five
Disneylands throughout
the world. The others being two in the USA, France and Japan. This is Hong
Kongs own unique
version of the classic Disney attraction. The resort was opened in September
2005 and has
received over 10 million guests from all over the world.
Victoria Peak.
Tourists can take the Peak tram. You can visit Madame Tussauds Hong Kong in the
Peak Tower,
which has over 100 waxworks of celebrities and sports stars. Why not have your
photo taken
there with your favourite celebrity. Don't forget your camera.
Before you leave Hong Kong it must be viewed by night. Visit The lion Pavilion
at the
Peak. The Pavilion overlooks the Victoria Harbour. This is a spectacular night
view
not to be missed. Did I mention don't forget your camera. The views and fun
will give
you and your family a lot of pleasure long after you have left Hong Kong Island.
